Five Reasons Why Online Shopping Is Better Than In-Store Shopping

As the world becomes technologically advanced, more and more consumers in Trinidad and Tobago are leaning towards online shopping as opposed to traditional in-store shopping. So why exactly does online shopping seem to be better than in-store shopping? Here are five simple reasons:

1. You don't need to worry about looking for a parking spot. Everybody knows that finding a parking spot anywhere in Trinidad is one of the most difficult tasks known to mankind, especially during peak hours.

2. You can shop at your convenience. Online stores are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so you can shop anytime. In some instances, you can also have your items delivered by the next day.

3. You can save money. Online items are usually sold at lower prices than a brick and mortar store. In addition to coupon and discount codes, under some circumstances you can also get savings on taxes.

4. You never have to wait in line. When you shop online you are always first and you never have to worry about unnecessary delays- simply click and checkout.

5. You have the ability to shop in your pyjamas. Really, there's nothing better than shopping from your couch, while sipping on a glass of wine or a Carib beer!

Shopping Habits: Men vs Women

From since the beginning of time, we have learnt that men are from Mars and women are from Venus. In other words, there are major differences that exist between the two genders and some of these traits are reflected in their shopping habits and overall attitude towards fashion. Certainly, this is true for Trinidadian men and women.

Firstly, men generally view shopping as  a chore. They go to the mall to get exactly what they need and try to do that in the shortest time possible. On the other hand, women view shopping as  a hobby or a pastime. As such, they go shopping for the sake of it. If they happen to come across something (or a lot of things) that they like they would buy it on the spot.

Additionally, it has been proven that women's shopping habits are part of their DNA. Therefore, their lifelong mindset dictates their buying patterns. Women tend to make purchases on an emotional level while men tend to buy based on facts and data.

Furthermore, women are more likely to look for bargains or sales to ensure that they are getting the best price for a product. In contrast, men are wiling to pay a little bit more for a product than women and are less likely to invest energy in comparing prices or finding available discounts.

Surprisingly, men are more loyal to brands while women are more loyal to good service. As a result, men are more likely to find a good brand they like and purchase it repeatedly. Women, however, take their service experience into consideration when deciding whether to buy a product again.

Men's Fashion Tips for July / August

In Trinidad and Tobago we don't have summer, however the July/August period is filled with events and things to do. For one, it is unofficially known as 'band launch season' as the most popular mas bands preview their costumes and themes for Carnival 2017. In addition, there are various boat cruises, parties, outdoor events and the ever popular Caribbean Premiere League (CPL) cricket matches. Indeed, this is the perfect time for Trinbagonian men to upgrade their wardrobe.

The top male fashion trends for 2016 include knee skimming short pants, patterned shirts, distressed jeans and lots of grey, green and neutral colours. Remember, that the right fit is important so your clothes should be neither too baggy nor too tight. Also, be cognisant of the fact that it is the rainy season and dress accordingly. So fellas, no matter what you are doing or where you are going over the next two months, ensure that your kits are up to standard. It won't hurt to give your barber a visit as well since this is not the time to commit any fashion felonies.
